Alex MacDonald joined Instar in 2024, where he is responsible for fund accounting and supports the preparation of financial statements, investor reports and financial analysis. He also helps to identify and implement opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements.
Prior to joining Instar, Alex was a senior accountant at Ernst & Young, where he collaborated with core and component audit teams across multiple countries to provide assurance to a variety of financial institutions including multinational insurance companies and various private market investment firms.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
