David Mullen

David Mullen is a leading executive in the private capital industry with more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector. David is currently the Managing Director of Highland West Capital Ltd, a merchant bank focused on middle market private equity.
In addition, David is a founding Managing Director at Graycliff Partners, an independent investment management firm focused on middle-market private equity and mezzanine investments in the US and Latin America. David is the former Managing Partner and Chair of Fulcrum Capital Partners Inc. Both firms were previously the merchant banking subsidiaries of HSBC, and were formed in connection with management buyouts that were completed in 2011 and led by David. Previously, David was Head of Private Equity North America at HSBC Capital, managing merchant banking operations in Canada, the US and Latin America with capital commitments in excess of $2 billion.
David is on the board of directors of NGEx Resources and serves as a director of various public and private companies as well as several not-for-profit associations. He also formerly served as chair of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
